First encounter with the Borg

When Q introduced us to the Borg, and vice versa, we knew it was a matter of time before we would be confronting the Borg in battle. At the same time they were scanning us, we tried to learn as much as we could about them. Our plan was to find a way to defeat the Borg before facing them in battle. During the briefing with the senior officers, we determined that we needed to strengthen our shields and enhance our weapons. The day to fight the Borg came quickly. The success of our plan was critical.
